Similar to endermites spawning occasionally when using ender pearls, escaped souls should spawn occasionally when running on soul sand/soil with soul speed enchanted boots.
Escaped Souls would look similar to endermites, but more sleek and possibly smaller. They would be a bright blue, similar to that of soul fire, and would be very fast. They would attack the player and temporarily negate the player's soul speed.
Escaped souls have low health, but are only there for a short amount of time before they disappear back into the soul sand/soil. When the player kills an escaped soul, a loud screech is heard and they earn an achievement "second death."
Escaped Souls could also inflict Trepidity, a new effect that essentially heightens the players hearing in a bad way. Mob noises are much louder, and the player occasionally hears false sounds, meaning they might hear ghast noises when a ghast is nowhere to be found.
