This mob, which I have called the Shroomsucker (I'll get to why in a bit) has both Warped and Crimson variants. This is a large, insect-like floating mob that flies around the lava lakes, stopping at either Warped or Crimson forests on the edge of the lakes. The creature then extends a sort of proboscis and injects it into the wart blocks on the fungi, draining it, along with multiple blocks around it, and turning them into a hyphea or some sort of dry wart block, giving it its namesake. The creature could occasionally be seen flying through wide open areas of the forests, though it most commonly travels on open lava lakes. The Shroomsucker can be ridden, as an early-game flight method.
The Shroomsucker does have some drawbacks. First, Ghasts and Skeletons will go out of their way to kill it. These mobs are scared of the Soul Sand Valley, and will not allow themselves to be ridden into the biome. Shroomsuckers also are very hard to find and cannot be bred.
Upon right-clicking on Shroomsuckers with a bucket, you will get a bucket of either Crimson or Warped wart juice. This material moves like lava, but functions like water, though it won't be evaporated in the Nether!
