The Quartz Swallowtail are a new mob that would spawn and live in areas of the Nether with large amounts of quartz with in them. They are crystalline Arthropods that resemble swallowtail butterflies, except they are made entirely out of quartz. They are one of the few defensive mobs in the Nether. Normally they flutter around peacefully in large groups in the quartz filled biomes they call home. However if they are provoked, then all Quartz Swallowtails will become hostile and slice and dice their attacker with their sharp crystalline wings and will only stop if they ether leave their home or they die. When killed, they drop Nether Quartz upon death. They will also drop a Quartz shard which when crafted with a stick will create a Quartz Dagger. Which are basically sharp, crystalline throwing knives. Interestingly they can be breed by using Nether Quartz and will plant a egg into any type of Quartz block. Then the egg will turn into a Quartz Caterpillar which will leach the Quartz block it is on until it crystallizes into a Quartz Chrysalis, before emerging as a Quartz Swallowtail. The Quartz Swallowtails would be a beautiful but dangerous addition to the Nether.
Their model would look similar to this. But would be much more shiner and more colorful.
