I think there should be a small chance, maybe 1% or less, that upon killing a ghast, it explodes, sending between 16 and 32 fireballs in random directions, and doing a small amount of area terrain damage around the ghast itself, to the same effect as a block of TNT.
This would add some more unpredictability and danger to the nether, meaning that players not only have to be more careful selecting building materials in the nether, adding more uses to the new types of wood, but it also gives more depth to the ghast as a mob, which is important, as currently ghasts are portrayed within the game as much stronger mobs than they really are.
This would be a good addition to make while the Nether Update is still underway as it fits well with the introduction of more complex mobs such as piglins to the nether, as well as the fact that more ghasts are spawning in the soul sand valleys, making these even more difficult to explore.
