Warding Cats in the Nether (Ghast Protection)

As the main purpose of cats seems to be driving off pests like creepers and phantoms, this function should be expanded to ghasts as well. Right now, it seems as if developers seek to make the nether somewhat liveable with additions such as the respawn anchor. Ghasts currently pose the biggest threat to builders, since they pretty much destroy any base you try to create. Giving cats this new purpose would make them much more desirable and would definitely fit in with the current series of Nether renovations. I think it's especially appropriate, given how ghast noises are derived from an actual cat.

Though, it would be a shame if it accidentally walked into lava or fire. To thwart this, either improve mob AI or allow pets immunity to fire through some mechanic. Like perhaps, pets could drink from cauldrons holding potions (B.E.) that players embed in the floor?
