add egg trades for farmer villagers in java edition

The wiki shows that in bedrock edition the farmer villager can buy eggs from the player, and i think that this should be added into java edition aswell

  Maybe generally a Chicken Villager who can sell on step 5 Spawn eggs of some animals.

  In 1.16, Bedrock Edition trades were adjusted to match Java Edition, and as a result the farmer egg trade was lost. I would love to see this added back into both editions, especially since eggs don’t really have that many uses.

  This this should definitely be added to java editions. Eggs are only good for breading new chickens but it would nice if you could sell them to villagers for emeralds. Maybe one stack or 16 eggs would = 1 emerald.

  Please add egg trading back into the game. The decision to take it out of Bedrock significantly and adversely affects game play. If you want to level-set the two editions, add egg trades to Java. I'm perplexed why you would even think removing it from Bedrock was a good idea. Egg trades are a valuable and readily accessible means to obtaining emeralds. While other choices certainly exist, it makes the process far more laborious. It slows down a players ability to explore, build, expand, mine, virtually everything because the other avenues for obtaining emeralds require far more time and effort to obtain them. Please, for the sake of an enjoyable playing experience, bring back egg trading. I want to explore my world, not constantly farm in order to obtain a fraction of the emeralds that eggs produce readily.

  Put this back! I spent all day murdering innocent farmers to find a couple only to find that you guys removed this feature. Put it back, please!!! I have entire chicken farms and chests full of eggs based in this mechanism.

  PS. For as buggy as this game is and for how often villagers randomly despawn, this leveled things out pretty nicely. Hours and hours and hours of grinding to level up my villagers just to have them disappear overnight even in a fully enclosed walled lid city was just a little bit less ridiculous when I could build chicken farms and sell the eggs for easy emeralds.
