Minecraft Mobs and Originality

My Idea is not a specific mob, but an idea for mob design moving forward. Minecraft is a fantasy game with many fantastical elements, one of which is its unique mobs. These mobs add a lot of life and game-play to the game and are in many ways its identity. The creeper and enderman are absolutely iconic throughout the world. I think that adding real life mobs has become too much of a focus recently. These mobs are cute and cool, but the unique mobs that the developers make are the ones that truly stand out. These mobs are the icons of Minecraft and I think it's important to keep working in that direction. I'm not saying that mobs from real life shouldn't be added, I'm just saying that the focus needs to be put back on the fantasy and creativity when adding mobs. I think the nether update has done an excellent job with this so far and I would love to see this continued.

    I agree entirely. The strider was a major step in the right direction, but there is still so much potential in the nether update and beyond.
