Based on the new (re)introduction of crying obsidian, I think it would make a great opportunity to somehow use this block in a nether spawner. Like the ones you see in the overworld, these would have the standard rectangular/square shape as usual. The spawner could be a piglin, magma cube, piglin beast, or zombie pigman. Probably not a wither skeleton or blaze considering that those already spawn naturally within nether fortresses. Also, while piglins spawn pretty commonly in the new forest biomes, they could be used for farms just like how (for example) zombie spawners are a pretty nice find in the overworld. Along with this, the loot inside of the chests would probably be the same as fortress chests but maybe slightly better finds such a rare netherite scrap. The design would consist of nether bricks (or the new wood blocks from the forests) along with scattered crying obsidian. This would be a cool way to obtain a new block, just how mossy cobble works in normal overworld spawners. These spawners also wouldn't have a specific location, but would be found randomly maybe like occasionally have one wall exposed and the rest hidden. Thanks for reading, have a great day!
