Cherufes are aggressive bipedal magma lizards that live in the volcanic Basalt Deltas biome of the Nether. They can walk on two legs or run on all fours, similar to a Spinosaur. They can breath fire and blast a magma meteor which when it hits the ground explodes and cause small pools of lava to spawn for a short period of time. They also have a fiery bite, powerful swipes, ground pounds that knock everything back, and a powerful tail attack. These creatures are the opposite of Snow Golems. When in hot biomes they are very strong, when in cold biomes or are in water they are very weak. Additionally, when in water they can’t use any of their fire based abilities. They also have a area of effect attack which shoots magma rocks that causes lava to spawn.
I have good news and bad news about this creature. The good news you can tame it. The bad news, you won’t like how you do it. In order to tame it you have to sacrifice a pet to it and let it kill it. And just like other games, you may need more then one pet for this thing to become domesticated. Once tamed, they can be ridden and grants the riders immunity to fire for as long as they are on it’s back. It can also cook and smelt items like a furnace but is slighter faster then a average furnace. They can be feed and healed with anything that can be used as fuel in a furnace.
When killed they will drop flint, gunpowder, magma cream, coal, and obsidian.
The Cherufe would be both a awesome and terrifying mob to add to the Nether.
