Warpwattles, Nether Chickens in Warped Forests

 

Warpwattles are whitish-bluish turkey duck-like birds that swapn commonly in Warped Forests, or when the occuence of a chicken jockey in the Nether happens. Warpwattles are harmless, but are a minor source of food if one were to get lost in the Blue forests. Their eggs that are laid once every 10 minutes can be used to make Warpwattle Omelettes, made from 3 of their eggs, 3 nether sprouts, and a bowl. The omelettes don't heal much, think of them like beetroot soup. They love warped fungi, which doesn't breed them, but causes them to make more nether sprouts. But Warpgobbles hate crimson fungi, like how Hoglins hate Warped Fungi. The eggs do not make baby Warpgobbles, as these birds are actually a fungus-like creature molded into a bird-like being.

    How do these things breed then? And why do they lay eggs if they aren’t their offspring?

    Now I like this idea. Currently the only " endemic animal" to the Nether that can be bred is the rather hostile Hoglin of the crimson forest. Makes a fair amount of sense for there to be an animal in the mirroring biome. There also is no way to get feathers to craft arrows in the Nether, your only hope is to not get killed fighting skeletons in the (otherwise rare) soul sand valley. Probably shouldn't be more complex than an overworld chicken and/or ostrich though.

    I liked this concept but i would like if was a way of procriating them like hoglins to make an warpewattles farm
