So I’m sure everyone can agree that minecrafy survival is just simply way too easy. Surviving even your first night is so easy to do giving you can just run away from any monster and they can’t do anything about it. I feel like sprinting had completely thrown the games survival mechanics off balance because to a player that can sprint, mobs are nothing but a slight inconvenience. I think that mobs should have a special ability that could maybe toggleable on and off or could be implemented only when players create a world in hard difficulty. An example of one of these abilities is the zombie charge. I think that zombies, when within a certain raidius of the player, should charge towards the players at a pace just faster than the players natural sprint speed so that if the player tries to run away they will be chased down by the zombies and it puts more emphasis on fighting them or trying to avoid them. I’m not sure about other special abilities but I’m sure people could comment and help me out. I was thinking for spider they should maybe be able to shoot web out at you that either damages you or spawns an actual cobweb to trap you.
