Ocean Portal

Personally I really like playing on servers and almost each one I’ve played on has died due to the ocean update. I was wondering if it would be better at all to make the ocean world a different portal like the nether/end and just have the regular oceans in main Minecraft. That way if server owners didn’t have the resources to run the ocean they could disable going there. That way a whole server wouldn’t have to die because of stupid dolphins...
