Better pathfinding and mobility for tamed mobs.

Everyone has had an experience where your low-health wolf has been snagged by a cactus, sweetberry bush, or even a slightly-too-high drop. 

With many dangers in the great outdoors of Minecraft you would think that your Wolf, Cat, and Parrot would have some common sense. 

Tamed creatures should be able to go around these basic obstacles so that they, frankly die less often

Another change (mobility) is that your tamed animals should be able to swim (or fly) as fast as you are. This way you don't lose all of your animals when you finally look behind you just to find all of your creatures are stranded somewhere.

 

These changes would make it so that your cat doesn't charge into fire and lava. 

Your dog wouldn't die from being pricked by a harmful block.

 

Your parrot wouldn't... They're parrots. They always get into trouble.

And finally you wouldn't leave your beloved pets stranded at sea.
