I think that piglins should have a sort of "Caste" system. What i mean by this is that there should be different tiers of piglin, governed by the value of armour pieces they are wearing. Piglins with less armour value will follow piglins with at least 5 more armour value than them. Also, Piglins that fight wither skeletons and kill them after being affected by the wither effect become Withered Piglins, able to infect enemies with the wither effect. Being a withered piglin would count as having 6 extra armour value. I have made a rough list of how much value each armour piece could have per piece:
Leather armour: 2 value
Gold armour: 6 value
Chain armour: 3 value
Iron armour: 3 value
Diamond armour: 4 value
Netherite armour: 5 value
Piglins with higher armour values have certain abilities, shown below:
> 10 value & over: can start hoglin hunts
> 15 value & over: gets a hoglin to ride
> 20 value & over: gives nearby piglins resistance 1 when a hostile mob is detected
> 24 value & over: summons extra piglins when a hostile mob is detected
> 30 value (full gold armour + withered): double health and increases damage by 3. Gets a coloured nametag "Piglin Warleader"
