Too many animals

One of the great things about Minecraft is it's simplicity.  But, with all the animals and mobs being added - it's getting crowded and complicated.  I like each animal added, but at some point it became too much.  An animal species is only needed if it provides something for Minecraft players.  I don't see the point behind many of the recent additions.  As long as the player can find animals for food, protection, transport, etc., then more animals are not needed.

    The more animals the better. The world is so dead without life. It has still not enough animals.

    The reason why there are useless mobs is to add life. The developers don't want to promote killing animals mostly which is why you don't really get anything when killing dolphins, bats, etc. Even if the creature is useless, it still adds life to the game which is fun to see.

    I disagree. Personally, I love collecting all the different animals and actually think there isn’t enough!
