Vertical Tripwire hooks

With the update that allowed us to place item frames on floors and ceilings I began to wonder why not tripwire hooks and string being able to be a vertical line. This could detect things that move on the Y axis like bees, phantoms, parrots, and even arrows, etc and not limit us to stacking horizontal lines of trip wires to detect an entity flying overhead. It could also add to the decrative side of minecraft, expecially if the bottom hook could be hidden under a slab or other transparent block.

    Be able to activate the hook with a redstone signal( ie: lever or button) from the other side of the block. This would make a signal transferable to the other hook without the need for a visible and balky restone path. A power line.

    Maybe you could use chains instead of string, with the difference being that you can activate it from a distance via right click which would appear as tugging the chain. Also with a tripwire coming from the bottom of a block you don't need a second tripwire at the top of a block.

    This could be used for ropes as well, with the ability to attach ropes to them. How heavy a weight attached to the rope is may determine how strong the redstone signal the hook generates.
