When the Xbox Series X releases, I think you should have both the Java and Bedrock versions be available for download on it, like how you can get both Java and Bedrock on Windows. This will give Java Edition another platform and give players a choice.

Why?
this isn't a bad idea but I think the xbox series X native language will be the C++ but minecraft java was made in java so is not possible
EDIT
The Idea still not bad but there is a problem in think the Xbox use C++ or C (not sure I don't found information about it) but I'm almost sure the Xbox don't run in Java so play Minecraft Java it's should download Java (but first make Java work on the Xbox os) and mojang made a gamepad compatible (that still possible but you will be limited) or use a keyboard and a mouse
It's just horrible to do almost impossible
I think Minecraft would be great on the xbox series x because its basically a gaming pc and it was confirmed that the xbox series x would be able to run about any pc game there is any like steam so Minecraft java would work on the new xbox series x
I sure hope minecraft java comes to the xbox series x minecraft bedrock kinda sucks in my opinion I bought a gaming PC just to get away from bedrock edition the xbox series x would be able to have java edition so it makes sense to have it
I actually agree because minecraft java edition has a better gameplay than bedrock also you can add texture packs mods modpacks even custom maps from your own design on any version of minecraft and that will be very good because There are a lot of gamers in the world just for minecraft java or most of thier playing time is for minecraft and that will make them play it more because Minecraft bedrock is actually sucks and a lot of console gamers can't play it or they have to buy a pc just to play minecraft
In my opinion I look at modded minecraft java as best game I have ever played and it must be for the next console generationI think this a long time, because many people want java edtion in the xbox, I think this is a great idea because there are people who don't have the code to buy a pc that is expensive and imagines the endless possibilities beyond minecraft will grow much more!
this is technically possible because xbox series x is compatible with most pc games (unlike xbox one and 360)
it is even stronger than some if not all laptops
the evidence i found about this
"The Xbox Series X can allegedly play PC games thanks to “Windows Mode.” That includes playable games from Steam and Epic Games Store."
and
"
Xbox Series X 'Windows Mode'As the name suggests, players will be able to boot up the console to run Windows 10 applications. The mode will effectively transform the console into a PC."
this means minecraft should work even without mojang updating minecraft to support xbox (maybe they need to)
to mojang: DONT FORGET TO ADD JAVA CONTRLLER SUPPORT accessible without shenanigans AND FOR FREE
please
Bedrock an Java are separate for a reason. Bedrock is written in C++ code, which runs on pretty much all devices and consoles. Java is written in, well Java code. Java doesn't run on consoles so I think it pretty much just wouldn't work.
I think this is a great idea.
Series X is a powerful console of course, it can run RTX. If it can do that, this is definitely a possibility.
Not only that, but I have a feeling this will be incredibly beneficial for the java community, since a lot of players are being abducted into bedrock. (Not that that's a bad thing)
Additionally this would open up more possibilities for the console itself, (Steam might be added)
The real question is "Is this possible?"
Overall i think this would be great as it is another reason to get the series X.
(Maybe series S will run java too?)
I really want Java on Xbox just for better server support, because the ones we have right now are nothing compared to what java has to offer, as well as this java seems to just have a better feel in how it plays, eg crouching under slabs, recently someone has developed an engine to have crossplay between java and bedrock so maybe one day it’s possible to merge the 2 running under the same kind of code.
I agree, the Xbox does use Microsoft and is connected to Bedrock Edtion but it is the same with Windows 10! The new Xbox should be able to run it. Why not? And it could be cool if it had split screen using a different Java Account!
As someone who has their main survival and creative worlds on Java, this would be a very nice feature. It is significantly more convenient to be-able to play worlds on multiple platforms that are cable, especially if, at certain times, you prefer to relax on the couch while play video games, rather than being unconformable sitting on a chair at a desk. If this feature does not get added, at the very least it would be nice for Java Minecraft to have some sort of controller support so your arms and hands do not get tired using a desktop keyboard for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, I do not see this feature being added, since Xbox's main selling point is being able to relax on the couch while playing video games.
