The colors you can use while using chat or anything related to JSON text feel extremely dull and outdated as they haven't been touched, well really ever. My suggestion is to add to the current colors that can be used in JSON text by adding the updated palette we saw added in 1.12. You can use the new feature added in 1.14 for dyeing signs as an example of how the text should look. This would open a lot more options for server owners and mapmakers for customizing anything to do with chat, /tellraw, signs, server MOTDs, written books, resource packs and advancements. I believe that the last three major updates already had chances to improve on this (1.12, 1.13 and 1.14) in 1.12 we saw a revamp on the color palette, in 1.13 we saw a major revamp on commands and their formats, and lastly in 1.14 we had the ability to dye signs to color text added.
EDIT: Adding on to what I said above, this is just a suggestion for Mojang to re-do their text colors/formatting opinions in some form or way, I am not saying I know the best way to go about doing this change, I just provided a few ideas of mine. So I want this suggestion be taken as a conversation piece for what we the players could use in some sort of text colors/formatting update.
