I noticed that as of the new 1.13 update, the "view bobbing" setting has changed. Before the update, view bobbing only did 3 things: make your view sway slightly left and right when walking, make your arm on screen sway left and right when walking, and make your arm on screen move up or down when falling of flying. These few additions make walking in the game feel a little more realistic and less like sliding or hovering over the floor. After this update, view bobbing no longer sways your view left and right but up and down (to simulate the drop between steps when walking). Personally, I don't like this change but I could get used to it eventually, but the other new change is what ruined view bobbing for me. The other new change is that everything after a certain distance that you see sort of sways when you jump, and even more so if you're jumping while sprinting. I personally don't like this change either, as it's too much movement on screen for me to enjoy the game. While I don't have motion sickness or feel it from this change, it is certainly an unpleasant experience.
My solution? a simple option in the settings to use the old version of view bobbing. It would work as a slider in the menu with 3 options: view bobbing off, view bobbing (old / legacy), and view bobbing. Until this is added, or if never, I'll just stick with view bobbing turned off.
Thanks for listening.
