Lava-proof Woodland Mansions

I'm on a second save where a 20k block distant woodland mansion has caught fire from natural lava and burned down. This doesn't feel like a very good gameplay experience as I've spent a lot of time preparing, traveling and planning transportation back only to find the point of my efforts, literally and figuratively, burned to the ground. Again.

Sure I can nerdpole up to the chests and get some loot, but this doesn't feel earned at all anymore as I didn't get to fight through and experience the mansion.

As a solution I suggest making the mansions fireproof, or restricting the generation of lava around them.

PS. Sorry if this has been suggested before, I did do some searching and couldn't find anything.

    I wonder if they could add some sort of 'garden' perimeter around the outside of a mansion, just big enough that if lava does generate nearby, it's far enough away from the edge of the mansion that it won't catch fire. It feels like a fairly balanced solution to me, and doesn't require any special 'fireproof' wood or messing with the randomly generated terrain... Just an addition to a pre-existing structure.
