On a bug post, (https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-45349) it says that villagers are not unlinking from beds when going to a different dimension. A mod replied to that comment voting to leave it the way it was. But me and many others are of the opinion that this should not be case. An argument for this by TomG says:
It makes no sense to leave it as it is in order to solve a theoretical problem that no-one has reported having.
It's also disingenuous to say that leaving it as it is gives more choice. Either you have to manually unlink or you have to manually re-link, so either way you have the same amount of choice. The difference is that fixing the bug solves problems that actual players are facing whereas leaving it doesn't.
Separately, this bug is presumably a symptom of some code not working as intended. If the game designers went to the trouble of unlinking beds at 100+ blocks then obviously they had a reason and logically that reason would also apply to moving to another dimension.
Developer time is valuable and not every bug can or should be fixed but let's not fall into the trap of re-badging bugs as "features" in order to get the count down. That just leads to shoddy code and angry users.
I hope somebody gets back on this, because just by looking at the sheer number of upvotes on the bug report, you can see that many other people would really like this in the game.
