Allow all back items an exclusive elytra texture

With the introduction of 1.13 came the character creator. This allows players to customize, purchase and show off their creations within the game itself. Now while it is great fun, I noticed something quite strange. 

When I was customizing my character, I purchased butterfly wings as I thought they looked very cool. Upon completing my character, I decided to go into a world to see how it looked. When I entered the world, I tried on the elytra to see if it would change. To my surprise, it did not change. 

I think if the elytra wings changed to the a same or at least similar style of the wings (or any back item), it would allow the player to express their character even more.

    To further extend this idea. Players have long wanted backpacks in the game. Now that we have character choices that are 3D, backpacks would make a great addition. However, they would need to move depending on whether or not armor is equipped. (directly against character model if "naked" or pulled back away from character model so that armor goes in between. This is to avoid Z-fighting of the back textures.) I've always wanted there to be a logical reason why I can carry so much stuff with me.
