I am looking very forward to the Nether Update, however, what I am not looking forward to is the possibility of the update being split into multiple updates as with Update Aquatic and Village & Pillage.
Here are the reasons why I don't think the update should be split:
- The content won't be fully finished. Several things in Update Aquatic and Village & Pillage weren't complete yet when they were released, and that was annoying.
- It's less satisfying and less exciting. When you have the updates split, it isn't as satisfying and exciting as receiving a full, very large update like on Java. It's also fairer to them.
- It will be rushed, buggy, and most likely not that stable. In addition to that, hotfixes are likely not to be released. Perfect examples of this are the 1.8, 1.9, and 1.10 updates. They had several game-breaking bugs and no hotfixes were released to fix them. 1.10 was the worst because that was obviously the most rushed update out of all of them. Only 2 betas and unplayable inventory lag.
So please, do not split the update and just release it as one, very large update like on Java.
