Parity means making features behave consistently across different Minecraft editions, most commonly between Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Use this category to discuss released features that exist in both versions of the game but work differently. Please note that bugs are not parity issues and should be reported separately.

(Java Parity) Make Java Edition collect XP at the same rate as Bedrock.

In Java Edition, the player can only collect 10xp orbs per second. This is far too slow compared to the bedrock system of near-instant collection. To be fair, XP farms on Java can be much faster, so the slower XP collecting rate could be considered a balance feature. Either way, Java Edition players should be able to collect XP at the same rate as Bedrock. This would also minimize lag because there would be fewer XP orbs on the ground at any given time (say at an insane endermen farm).
