Wormlets:desert mob idea

Well i know that the desert will get some other life forms like meerkats and stuff but there's still only 1 unique hostile mob to these dangerous places.My suggestion is for a new mob called wormlets,they will spawn in maisa and deserted biomes in general,they spawn under the sand of these places and wait for a player or another mob to walk on top of the sand block then they strike! They would drag the mob/player into the sand and sufoccate them or would pop out and attack lile silverfish.There could be wormlet infested zones like a minefield.And maybe like turtles they would (after a certain period of time) grow and become a sort of beetle,maybe a golden beetle that when killed will drop gold or somthing like that.
