Spectre & Soul sand death item storage

So ,your adding in cool soul sand areas 4 the nether. Why not a mob to go along side it. The spectre can become more visible the closer it gets to you. The resultant effect of it is it popping out of nowhere. It can be silent until it attacks you, not significantly damaging because that would be overpowered. You could be swarmed by these mobs. If you die on soul sand an imprint of your player head can be made into the soul sand block where you died. Your items can be stored in this block so when you break it you get the items back. This can be used functionally as well as creatively. The draw back to this is it is hard to fight of the spectres & recover your stuff, you may have to die multiple times trying to get your loot back out.

    Ahh, another idea, items stored in the soul sand could have a chance of getting infested with curses. Maybe a disinchanting table could be added to recapture specific enchantments into books, costing expiereince & potentially lapis to do so.
