how does java not have founders cape already? java was the very first version of minecraft (cave game i think) and all we get is a cape for the other version of minecraft (which is already boring)? it's very fustrating

Capes in java would be awesome because it is ultimately the best version of minecraft.

Maybe not for EVERYONE in Java, but since this is a FOUNDER cape, perhaps you could give the cape to people who started playing before Minecraft's official 1.0 release? Like a Beta, Alpha and In(f)dev cape? I think that'd be cool, and it'd keep capes a special thing; not something everyone has

    Absolutely!
We finally get capes from the new form of Minecon and we can't even get then for Java, the OG version of Minecraft? That doesn't make sense to me.

I get that they decided to offer it as a Marketplace thing, but here's my idea for how they should offer it to Java players:
    1) You still have to get it from the Marketplace, so Mojang and Microsoft will be happy (and it's free for a limited time anyway so it's not hard to get)

    2) But once you have it bought with your account, you should have to option/popup that says "Do you have the Java edition? You can get this cape added to your Java account!" (this would be similar to how you can get MC Win10 for free if you have Java, just the other way around for capes)

    3) You follow the link, enter whatever information Mojang needs to verify your accounts, and they either add the cape to your username automatically (like Minecon 2011) or e-mail you a link to add it to your account (like pretty much all the other physical Minecons)

Please, Mojang! Don't forget about your Java players! Now that you found a way to do capes again they shouldn't be left out! Let's make it so that both main versions can get these capes!

I'd like to see this as well. Some of us play Java for modded, but would like to support Bedrock edition so that it eventually can rival Java edition in terms of mods.

¡quiero mi CAPA! Java editión inicio todo, no justo que solo este en bedrock editión.

Java is sort of a legacy version now, and yes it's still fun to play, but bedrock edition is definitely more inclusive and if PS4 support is added soon - then I can't see myself playing Java edition much more, as pretty much everyone will be able to play on Bedrock.

I understand that they are trying to move towards Bedrock but historically everything that has come to one has also gone to the other. For example, past capes were part of Java and Bedrock editions, all updates that Java has are now on Bedrock.

I do believe that while there still is a Java community and a Java edition out there being developed the updates should come to both (in game and cosmetics)

I have two Java accounts but I also have a Bedrock account and I would love to have this cape on my Java accounts as well.

@Nikita790 I feel the same way. They literally do not give a crap about java edition. They just use it as some extra version for testing and stuff.

If you want parity, give us the capes we rightfully own.

The founder's cape is, unfortunately, not meant for Java as it was created for the sole purpose of promoting the Marketplace. Java may get the founders cape when and if the Marketplace is added to Java.

I also thought about it and it would be nice to get a cape with pancakes

Java veterans will be receiving a free cape once they migrate their Mojang account to a Microsoft account, which will happen any day now.

Its a really good idea, i think it perhaps might be good, but thinking abt it its better modders do it because then the bedrock players might demand their own capes.

This is the comment to the braindeads saying bedrocks somehow becoming the new superior version no. Java is and always has been better. Mods, free skins, free texture packs, maps, get it? Thos 4 things make bedrock NO. Makes it forever the last place mc. Yall can like it but accept your the god damn minority. Console, mobile, and win10 wdition will ALWAYS BE GARBAGE in comparison to java
