Similar to the Bibliocraft mod (all credit to: https://www.bibliocraftmod.com/), a more organized way of editing books would help with a lot of in game cataloging, for self or server purposes. Currently books are quite restrictive with pages/word count and not very easy to find what you're looking for. Minecraft books would be a lot more inclusive if they allowed for color coding(organization), font size changes(titles and notes), and chapters(navigation).

It would allow admins to easily keep track of players or issues.

It would allow players to catalogue mobs/items that they are missing, so they are easily able to keep track of collections.

Ultimately, any sort of book upgrade would allow players to get creative, write better short stories, or even full novels. They could keep track of practically anything in game. It would be easier to keep track of adventures: where coordinates could be stored in game, rather than a post-it note stuck to the side of your monitor. You could write in-depth, in-game walk throughs for new players, allow "textbooks" for educational purposes, instead of having tutorials on 50 different signs, it could be contained in an easy to navigate, all inclusive manual.
