Agreed heavily! This also adds a major discrepancy in the mob names that makes no sense and can--and will--confuse players searching for zombie mobs in the creative mode menu.

I think I know the reason behind the Zombified Piglin name.

Zombie Villager has no more Villager mind.

Zombified Piglin has still Piglin mind.

Agreed. Even the zombie versions of villagers are not called "Zombiefied Villagers".

I actually really like Zombified Piglin because it feels more mysterious.

    A Zombie Piglin feels like:
    "It's not just a Piglin, it's a Zombie Piglin."

But a Zombified Piglin feels more like:
"It's not just a Piglin, it's a Piglin that has been Zombified by something or someone."

Also whenever someone hears [past tense verb] [thing] without knowing who or what [past tense verb] that [thing]

the person is most often immediately going to start asking like:
"Who or what zombified those Piglins?"

But again with a Zombie Piglin, it's just a [thing]

Agreed, but they should also keep "pigman" in the name to begin with.  It's a familiar term we've had long before Microsoft bought Minecraft, and they shouldn't make such a forceful rewrite of the formerly unused mob's identity.

Agreed. In fact, I think it would be a better idea to leave their name as is, and change "Piglin" to "Pigman" for the upcoming mob.

    I agree completely.

If the name change was about political correctness, I'd like to see how many people would call someone a "pigman" rather than just a "pig", and how that last name would be directly rooted from a game's lore and creatures.  When's the last time you thought real hard about insulting someone thinking "hey, this guy reminds me of the things I beat up on a video game all the time"?  I'd imagine that, especially with Mojang's younger audience, the likelihood of such a premeditated offense would be pretty slim.

WolveReigner781 Commander Twenty the purpose of changing the name to piglin was to make them seem less human. pigman implies relation to players and villagers, which would be a mistake.
