book of pets would be a item got from crafting a wolf hide (gotten from killing wolves not dog and can replace leather in most crafting recipes) and a book to get the book of pets. when you open it up you can see stats of tamed pets and a store were you can use xp to buy different skins for cats, dog, and horses along with some pets you can only get from the book like baby creepers, endermights, and other mobs to use like a dog or cat but you can only have one of the special pets out at a time. this would give a lot of uses to exp if you aren't very far in the game.
