Hatching Dragon Eggs

The dragon egg should have a proper use in the Minecraft world it has been a part of the game for quite a long time and I believe it deserves some purpose

    i think the dragon egg should have 3 purposes, 1 to be a trophy which is already what it is and i think thats awesome already, 2, to be able to hatch a dragon and have it as a pet or flying type of mount. 3, replace or modify the current ender dragon re spawn mechanic to also include the dragon egg on top of the portal and have the end crystals recharge or hatch the egg into the boss again to fight and defeat.

    For some reason i feel like they had a thing in mind like this. I wish it would hatch into a tamed Dragon(non breedable) which would be insain . and have numorus uses. And i wish we could recollect the egg after beating it a second time and so on and so forth.

    It will be awesome if you could travel with a dragon around the world and if severely damage my other mobs, it can regenerate. Anyways it was along way to get the dragon egg so I agree.

    The ender-dragon egg is pretty plain.having a pet dragon is awsome.it is a cool trofy and all but it only sits there.if we could hatch fly and tame a baby dragon the end would be more interesting oh and before I forget the end needs an update!long-live the end!Love your game.byyyyyyyyyyyy!

    Maybe you can even tame the dragon after you hatch the egg! I could fight for you and fly around attacking mobs. A cross between a dog and an iron golem!

    I would like a pet dragon from the dragon egg, with a large amount of health and similar to the elytra. You could tame it like a horse, and have to feed it to regain its health. After 10 attempts to tame, the dragon could fly to a different location, and you would have to follow it to try again. It may render elytra useless if it comes into play, but they could coexist or the elytra can do things the baby dragon can't or the elytra could be armor for the dragon.

    I agree there should be a choice to hatch the egg into a dragon, considering it is end game item having a pet dragon would surely enhance the game more.

    I've Got ideas. Like you can ride it but it can't fly, it breathes dragons breath for you.

    i think that the dragon egg should hatch and have a smaller, hostile dragon. it should attack anything not from the end

    I also agree.

    Alot of the bosses have a useful drop when you defeat them, why not the Ender Dragon?

    It could...

    -provide a way to teleport home in survival, possibly breaks after a few uses

    -can hatch a pet dragon

    -acts as an enderman spawner

    -Instead of it disappearing after clicking it, it leads you to something, possibly another dimension or point of interest.

    -Allows you to dream when you sleep at night

    -Gives Enderman immunity,either

       - Enderman avoid where its placed or.

       - Are not hostile when you look at them while in range of it.

    - Phantom Immunity

       - while placed, will create safehaven from phantoms

    Yes! Mojang, I like your idea of water and fire dragons, but I would have liked a hatching version of the dragon egg.

    But pls tameable and friendly plus everything that the ender dragon can do:

    - poison balls

    - flying

    - growing as a bonus
