Living/golem like armor stands

I think that there should be a way to bring armor stands to life. similar to other golems, they would be used to protect villagers(even the player??). It would be so nice to have a golem that is more diverse because you would be able to equip items which boost their stats. they would probably have less health that the player (they are made of wood after all) but would make up for this with armor and weapons/tools that they use. They could also be smarter that anther mobs like how skeletons are. I.e. retreating when outnumbered or almost dead. they might even be able to use weapons like crossbows, and bows. I think if say a player gives them a trident they would solely use it as melee though. im not sure how you would be able to resurrect them, but it shouldn't be pumpkins. perhaps using mob heads? or possibly some sort of enchanting.
