Possums!

They would scurry around in villages, eating from compost bins. And could be tamed with rotten flesh.

The possum when tamed will assist with fighting. Doing 3 attack giving the enemy a slowness effect.

Possums will move in groups. If the player would hit one of them, the entire group will attack you, when bitten you will be given Slowness and poison (basically rabies.) 

Possums when killed have a chance to drop the following items:

Bonemeal: 40%

Possum tail: 5%

Fur patch 10% (which can be crafted into wool with a 3x3 crafting table)

    I like the idea but I would you to clarify if you are talking about the American opossum which everyone calls the possum or the actual possum which is from Australia? I think you're talking the opossum because the whole compost bin thing but I'm not sure.
