Abandoned Nether Portal Frames

As you make your way through the nether, having lost your portal it seems like all hope is lost. But then, across the lava lake you see a familiar shape. A portal frame! Though unlit, it could take you back to the Overworld, but what could lie on the other side of this strange portal? You light the portal with the help of a Ghast and hop through this portal. On the other side you see a small outpost, though abandoned, has the few materials needed to find your way back home.

    To explain, this would be like a saving grace for new players, or people who just wanna explore the farther reaches of the Overworld in a new fun way. The structure on the other side of the portal does not exist until the player crosses to the Overworld through the naturally generated portal, this could be a wonderful way to make use of the new structure blocks in 1.14.

    The Overworld structure would be just a simple hut made out of materials from the biome it was spawned (for example if it is in a snowy plains, it will be an igloo, but if it is in a desert it will be a hut made of sandstone).

    There also could be an option, that in hard mode it always spawns a dungeon of sorts, full of hostile mobs, again depending on the biome that it is in.

    I had an idea like this, but what if the Cleric's houses in villages had like a 50% percent chance of spawning with a broken frame as well.

     

    Edit: Although witches can drop glowstone when killed, so maybe witch huts could spawn with broken portals next to them.

    This could add to the lore of an extinct race of builders. These nether portals could be inside new house-like structures.
