I've noticed that villages tend to summon a large amount of hay bales. The first village I encountered summoned nearly 2 stacks of hay bales around it.
Why I believe this nerf should be made: 9 wheat is needed to make a hay bale, and thus you get 9 wheat back when you break it down. Two whole stacks of hay bales would get you over 1,000 pieces of wheat. Now if you consistently get a similar number of hay bales from villages which is likely, then you'll practically be wasting the purpose of actually farming wheat. Wheat takes either time or bone meal to grow. It would be a shame if growing wheat is practically useless.
Some can argue that villages are rare, but it really just depends on where you're looking for them. Certain biomes spawn more frequently which offers lots of opportunities for villages to appear. Example: Deserts are can easily be traversed compared to many other biomes. Deserts also offer a lot of visibility, and their villages do tend to stand out.
