Drowned Having Infinite Tridents

Every time I try and go exploring the ocean I get murked by too many drowned just pelting me with tridents relentlessly. Is it only me or is it actually ridiculous that they dont even have to pick their tridents back up and that they can just endless hurl tridents at you until one of you die?

    Drowned tridents should have a natural Loyalty to them, so they have to wait for the trident to come back to them

    Or when they are thrown, they disappear from their hands, and it takes a few seconds for it to reload.
