Elk

What if there was Elk that can be found in most forest biomes (Oak, Spruce, Dark Oak) and when killed will drop Elk meat and Elk hide. They can also be tamed and ridden.

    That's a good idea.
    The elk is probably neutral and okay if nothing is done, but when attacked it should be hostile.
    The attack power is also high and it is quick.

    THe elk should eat wheat and some other fruits of the forest, like oaks, nuts, high grass.

    They should turn logs into their stripped variants and only spawn in Taiga biomes

    I had this idea for plains biomes only.  I think it would be a good addition to just specific areas that don't currently have a lot going on.  I think they should attack if you attack them also.
