This is a little idea I came up with for a new monster mob. The name would either be Groves, Grovers, Assailants. Something along the lines of that.
Mob Overview: These mobs spawn only at night and can be seen faintly in the distance due to their glowing lantern in which they carry. These mobs usually roam around at night in search of prey. Similarly to Enderman, if you look at these creatures you will be targeted. These mobs are slightly slower than Enderman. These mobs also have the black wither particle effects around them.
Effects/Damage: Once targeted you will be given Slowness II and Blindness for 3 seconds.. These enemies are very powerful with damage similar to Enderman so it is best to avoid them unless you are properly equipped! If you are attacked by these mobs you will be also be given wither effect for an additional 3 seconds.
Mob Drops: These mobs will drop Souls. Souls can be used for crafting purposes.
- Crafting: Maybe you can craft a Cloak of the Undead. Or something with soals and leather? This cloak would allow you to like have a similar effect with monsters? They don't see you or try to run away or attack you?
Atmospshere: The mobs can spawn anywhere however they have mini-biomes/structures in which they group together. The new mini-biome would be called a Grove. Groves are the abandoned graveyards that feature spiders, cobwebs, grave's made with slabs/stairs etc. In these graveyards there are wither flowers scattered around to add to the atmosphere.
