Press T, RETURN, or Control D-Pad Right to chat

Recently I just started to play Minecraft again from what seems like a year later. For the past two days I’ve been clueless on how to chat in servers like lifeboat for example. It says to press D-Pad right and I get no chats. I feel like this update is useless in my opinion and I’m sure other players think this too. If you want to keep this update at least put a tutorial for Pc, Mac, and PE.
