When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

levers with alternating redstone currents on each side.

I would like to see a different lever that powers the redstone in whichever direction the lever is facing. You can get creative with this. a 2-way lever (When the lever is toggled facing North, the redstone on the north side of the lever will power on whilst the south side is powered off. When the lever is toggled facing South, the redstone on the south side is powered on and North side is powered off. A 4-way lever (clockwise) (Toggled North>East>South>West) and the 4-way lever (counter-clockwise) (Toggled North>West>South>East). I might be wrong on the directions but I hope you understand what I'm saying. Also, when the lever is toggled via redstone output, the direction of the lever will change without player input.

This is a great idea, however something like that currently exists. If you place a lever on a block, a redstone torch on one of the block faces with a line extending from it, and on any of the other sides, add another redstone line, you effectively get what you are describing.
