I know alot of people may not use very advanced redstone mechanics, but why not add the idea of resistors to redstone.
I'll make examples by using keys
, = powered restone
. = un-powered restone
# = Resisted block (for examples it's a wood of your choice)
_ = repeater
* = power source
The concept is a bit like real life resistors where electricity cant get as much electricity through it, this could be the case for redstone. there could be blocks that resist redstone more than others, like wood resists 10 redstone power levels through a block, and terracotta could resist 5 restone power levels E.T.C.
example:
*,,,_#,,,,,..........
If this could work, people would get round this by putting repeaters on the Receiving side, but i think that on the resisted blocks, redstone repeaters don't get that function
example:
*,,,#_.....
*,,,_#,,,,,..........
Also, redstone could just NOT power if its on a resisted block
example:
* . . .
#### (These are the blocks below the redstone)
Thanks, hope you like the idea!
