its a cool idea but a lot of developers are pulling out of these game streaming services because they find out that its a subscription based system and not "you buy the game and you have a library". and they get a small fraction of that subscription payment. so, cool idea, i dont know if minecraft will get ported for monetary reasons.

I hope Minecraft will be released on Stadia. It would be extremely awesome to see both games on stadia, MC: Lava And Minecraft (Bedrock Edition). as both have a great fanbase and community.

Also AgingTea8517549 is wrong. Stadia you do buy games and put them in a library. The pro subscription is optional and gives a couple free games a month.

This would actually make players able to experience Minecraft with a good graphical quality if they can't afford something better! Maybe 20 chunks? Or 22? (That's xbox level)

I would LOVE for this to happen! Been playing Minecraft with childhood friends on and off and this would be perfect now that everyone don't have good PC's.

But, would it be bedrock based, or would it be java?

    • By having Minecraft on Stadia, then we could have more people buying Stadia and enjoying it.

I would especially love if it had ray tracing support built in, seeing as how limited the current implementation is and the FPS issues on the lower end graphics cards that support it. This would bring the feature to many more people and they wouldn't have to pay for an expensive graphics card to get decent FPS!

Very new to Stadia (less than a week) and already have bought some games.  It's a GREAT platform and Minecraft would be a great addition.  I've bought it for PC, PS4, and I'll buy it again for Stadia, if given the option.

It's 100% possible, Android is already based on Linux, and the PE version is what was turned into Bedrock. All they have to do is make it run on more powerful hardware, and may as well port Bedrock to Linux while we're at it.

Having modded minecraft would be great too as that would require more powerful machines (putting stadia to good use)

I'm loving Stadia and I have played with xcloud on my mobile devices,. Let's see what the power of the cloud can do for a game like this.

Excellent idea. Stadianis growing so fast. My partner recently said that she would use Stadka if it had Minecraft but doesn't think it would happen. This would show her haha

This would be Nice. You still need to login to the xbox/Microsoft account because this is the one thing that connects all the plattforma together.

It'll probably go to X-Cloud first, then come around 3 months later, or never. Mojang is still owned by Microsoft...

I can't agree more. There's 0 reasons to not having this port.

Can you imagine the scope for this on Stadia? Cloud computing? Centralised global world (if you want) and the computing power to support it.  Plus ray traced worlds!

Stadia is awesome, its become my main platform, not downloads, patches, no PC upgrades, no console generations to buy.. I still play Minecraft on my PC with my son, but I’ll buy it on Stadia day one, and it’s another nail in my PC’s coffin

We need this! Especially for gamers that do not have access to any hardware or just old hardware and just want to play on their TV/Monitor/Phone (like my wife) this would be a perfect introduction into the world of video games.
