Villager Passive Regeneration

Villagers should slowly regenerate health constantly. This is mainly due to cacti and the fall damage they take when walking around their village. I want to leave them to walk around their villages, but currently the natural landscape just isn't safe enough for them so I'm forced to lock them in their houses :/.

I know they currently regenerate a little from trading but this still means that the ones I'm not trading with have a good chance of dying.

Horses naturally regenerate because of how common fall damage is for them (I presume) and I think the same needs to be available for villagers as they are arguably the most valuable mob.

    Completely agree. It gets annoying to successfully defend a village from a raid or zombie horde, only to have the villagers die from falling a few blocks.

    It'd be nice if there is a villager or object that can heal villagers
