Make Dark Areas Appear Darker

Currently, in both Java and Bedrock Editions, you can still find your way around when the light is 0 even on minimum brightness setting. When the brightness setting is set to minimum, areas with a light level of 0 should be pitch-black. Illuminated areas (light level above 7) should not appear any darker but dark areas (light level 7 or below) should appear darker especially if the brightness is set to minimum to allow for more realistic gameplay.

    I also think even when the brightness setting is at max, lights are still brighter but dark areas are still pitch-black. Also, the brightness bar should only increase the brightness of a radius, not the size of the radius.
