Hey folks, loving the enthusiasm, but let's not spam the comments with +1/agree/yes posts that don't actually add constructive things to the conversation.

Just a friendly reminder to show the love with the votes instead. :)

I think it's a cute idea. I also think a new 'Mud Block' would also be a cool idea. When players and mobs walk over it, they leave mud tracks.

To me the stuff from Minecraft Earth must be added into the base Minecraft game. It makes sense. If that doesn't happen, I will be very cross.

I believe, if anything it should just be a variation of a normal pig if "mud" was ever added, be it as an obstacle underground or just decoration in a biome, it wouldn't really make sense for a muddy pig to exist without mud being in the game.

A pig could role around in it during the day and then it's texture changes.

why not a muddy block to go with it... so you put in a few muddy blocks and the pigs love it... they kind of sink halfway down into it...

not a mud block a mud bucket and also I love muddy pigs they look cute and amazing but to get them should you do that you will need to make a pool of mud and then a normal pig will run to it and then turn to a muddy pig

Add muddy pigs and realistic mud so that they can roll around in the mud. Bring on the interactive mud for the piggies and piglets!! 🐖

Since mud needs to be added, why not some sort of crafting recipe for it. Mud could either be crafted by one water bucket in the center surrounded by dirt OR by right clicking on a tilled dirt block with a water bucket.

Pretty simple, and your pigs get an added bonus - whatever pig they roll around with they have a 7 - 10% chance to naturally breed with them. You sink slowly in mud, but you can get out pretty quickly as if it was thick water. Since mud is technically a liquid still, you can grab yourself up a bucket of mud and put it down.

And couldn't you just grab yourself a handful of mud and throw it at someone? Well, yes. Grabbing a handful of mud is as simple as right-clicking on the mud w/ your bare hands, and as hilarious as seeing your unlucky friend get a -20% speed debuff.

Muddy Pig should go to Minecraft, but not as a separate mob, but as a new mechanic for a regular Pig, tied with mud.

When an ordinary Pig runs into the mud, it turns into a Muddy Pig.

A Muddy Pig turns into a Dry Pig after spending 3 minutes out of the mud.

When a Muddy Pig or Dry Pig enters the water, it turns into a Pure Pig (normal variant).

This way, you won't need to add a new mob to the game, and the game itself will also have mud that can be made and will appear naturally in the swamps.

Yes, this needs to be added in 1.19! You also should be able to dry them with something.

This would mean mud buckets could be added! Also, I think the only way of getting a muddy pig is by making a pig go into the mud.

I think I have a way to improve the Muddy Pigs. What if the Muddy Pig dried out as it did in Minecraft Earth. Then one would need a bucket of mud to pour onto the pig to turn it back into Muddy Pig. And if you pour mud on if five times and then kill it, then you would get the heart of Mincraft Earth.
