Flying pigs

Rideable pigs have been in the game since 1.1, but nothing sets them apart from the horse besides needing a carrot on a stick to control it. There's no reason to use a pig over a horse. They're weaker, slower, they can only jump 1 block, and they're useless without the carrot stick.

My idea was to give pigs the option to wear elytra. There would be an inventory slot for it, similar to how horse armor works. The pig would glide in whatever direction the player is facing. If the player didn't have the carrot on a stick, the pig would glide straight. This would make the pig mount still accessible to new players while also being a late game "noble steed."

This idea would be great in Minecraft, but it's too bad it won't be in until pigs fly.

    I actually had a similar idea but pigs had a small chance of dropping wings when killed and you can only wear it for a small amount of time and you cant put mending on it and you fly like you would in creative mode.
