I've made a Minecraft world not too long ago which I wanted to play on hard. It worked out in the beginning, it actually worked well until the point where I started to save villages from pillagers.
The first and last fight I ever had on hard mode vs pillager war, I had to use 64 diamonds in equivalent to armor and swords. Every piece of weapon or armor was enchanted with Prot3/Sharp3. I used 4 gold apples (not god apples) and the fight lasted 45 minutes.
In my opinion, that's way too long and therefore should be nerfed. With nerfed I mean that pillagers shouldn't be as good as they are right now vs the player.
The rhinos were those who hurt because they tear your armor, as cactuses do and their hitbox is a bit messed up. I hit rhinos multiple times, yes I checked if I was in range, and the rhino didn't take damage. That, of course, adds a whole new layer of difficulty. I think that was the most difficult thing.
