Currently Playing Counter

I've always wondered how many people across the Earth are also playing Minecraft while I am.

It would be cool if the launcher displayed the amount of players currently playing just before you start yourself.

Perhaps there could be two numbers; Global players & National players?

  This would be cool except it could only work for players who are connected to the internet.
