Ok, imagine this. You're are coming home from a successful mining spree, as you do, just then you hear a BOOM. It sounded like a End Portal, you thought, just then in the chat there's a single strip of text: A Invasion is Imminent, Take Cover! Just then a trident landed next to you, when you look at the horizon, nothings around. You then look up, seeing a flying short Enderman with a trident before being sent to the Game Over screen.
What'd you think? Nice example? To many details? Can I please move on with my life? Yes, yes, and... no. Anyway, all signs point toward the next "major update" being combat based. Excited? So am I! However, when there's a pro, there's a con... the Valkyrie. FYI, the Valkyrie is a piece of Norse Myth which is basically a female warrior often depicted with wings. My design only focuses of the "winged-warrior part of it, so shall we get start? (YEEEEEEEES) (Also, I will not state any precise details such as health or armor)
Overall, the Valkyrie is a hard mob to face: especially since there are 3 types: The Lancer, the Rusher, and the Marksmen. Lets start of with the Rusher. However, before we do, there is one move all the Valkyries share in common: the Riptide move, this deals no damage (with the exception of the Lancer) and deals little knockback. It's only there to put or give a boost in the air. Now that has been settled, let's talk about The Rusher...
The Rusher: The Rusher is the most common Valkyrie out of them all. Even though it's common, it's still very deadly. However, to be honest, it's basically a Vindicator with wings, except deals a little bit less damage. The Rusher always spawns with a infinity time Speed potion effect, because it's called The Rusher (how ironic). The rusher can also ground-pound, which does a TNT explosion but without destroying blocks.

The Marksman: The second most common Valkyrie. The Marksman has the farthest sight of all the Valkyries, it also has a bow enchanted with Flame I and shoots Damage I arrows that deal quite some damage. If they hit you in the air, prepare to have critical hit upon you, and if you have a shield, well, it get stunned for a while. Not fun.

The Lancer: The most iconic and original Valkyrie: while it always spawns with a Trident, it may spawn with a Shield. Being the rarest out of the three, it is the most powerful, having both melee and ranged attack properties (fun...). This Valkyrie has the power to breath Dragon Breath, which deals and has the same properties as the actual Ender Dragon.
You're probably wondering, "Where do I find a Valkyrie?" Easy, three places! End Ports, Valkyrie Invasions, and The End (what a surprise). The most common way to find a Valkyrie is in End Ports. The places are very dangerous and have good loot, however, its not that common at all. Invasions need a paragraph all to themselves. You can find Valkyries in the End, however, its not all that common, its very rare actually. However, they always spawn in groups of 2-4.
Invasions are the main reason to fear the Valkyrie. When you start a new Minecraft world, you won't have a Invasion for about 25 in-game days. When those 25 days have passed, there is now a 25% chance of a Invasion hitting, when it fails the next day will have a 45% chance, then a 65% chance, then 85% chance, then finally
a 100% chance. When a Invasion happens, you will hear a End Portal sound and, like a Raid, a Green Boss Bar appears with that strip of text saying: A Invasion is Imminent, Take Cover! This is the point of fight or flight, you see the Boss Bar will slowly start draining when you do nothing, when you kill a Valkyrie, a piece of the Boss Bar will disappear. When it ends, all the remaining Valkyries will fly up and despawn. So if just wait for the Invasion to be over, they will all despawn. So its Fight or Flight. Also, during an invasion, Valkyries will attack and kill ANYTHING that not a boss mob.
Thanks for reading my article, this could be a excellent addition to Minecraft, however, its very unlikely. However, i'm not giving up my hopes. Anyways, like I said, thanks for reading :D
