What is parity? This category is designed just for features that exist but work one way on one platform, and another way on a different platform. Bugs are not parity! Items in snapshots and betas are subject to change so please be sure to only post about things that are currently released in Minecraft. Please read the intro post before you post!

While I see where you are going with this, I disagree. The developers of Bedrock like to try and release an update every month. The numbers don’t really matter, so I don’t see why it needs to change.

I think *major* versions should be consistent, perhaps with a "j" or a "b" tag on the end, such as "1.15j" vs "1.15b". Major updates (The World of Color, Villagers & Pillagers) and so on would be the same major version number. Of *COURSE* minor version numbers would be "untethered/ unrelated".

"I'm playing Minecraft 1.12!" Uhm… which version? "1.12, you know..." Ahem... What *PLATFORM*? "Oh! Java. Who plays Bedrock?" And there you go. *I* play both Bedrock and Java, but it breaks my brain hearing about "Minecraft 1.12" because I'm not clear on WHICH PLATFORM are we talking about, since "Minecraft" to many in the community refers exclusively and ONLY "Minecraft Java Edition."

And while we are on the topic, dear Notch PLEASE do not have EITHER platform do a major release... UNTIL IT IS READY FOR RELEASE. 1.14.0 was "not ready for release." That is pretty clear and obvious to many of the Minecraft Java Edition players. Demanding 1.14 to release when Bedrock was ready was a huge mistake that is a great disservice to Realm players, who can not choose what version, to Modders and Server ops, with an audience demanding a release that wasn't fit to release, to new players picking up Minecraft for the first time only to be stunned and amazed at how shoddy 1.14.0 was. DO NOT release before it's ready. I'm begging you. Just... don't. But otherwise, having the same "updates" in the same rough time-frame is cool.

ZillionBeret512, I think they can use small update numbers (like 1.14.30) for their monthly parity/fix updates, but still keep the "main" feature update numbers (like 1.15) on par with Java.

We need this, that way, no one on bedrock has to use Minecraft Beta to get updates at the same time. Upvoted.

Probably not going to happen since Microsoft bought Minecraft and wants Bedrock to be the (Real) Minecraft but as a Bedrock and Java player can't agree more that I would like to have synchronized updates.

You know how you can place a slab on a 2 by 2 whole and crouch and walk through in Java you should add that and crawling in bedrock it would make it easier to go through the new 1 by your me caves

Make Java and bedrock more the same game than different games

At this point major versions are synchronized, and minor versions might start heading that way too.
